Taking place on Monday night (6 May) in New York, this year’s fashion event was another star studded event spectacle. Met Gala Celebrating Camp: Notes on Fashion at Metropolitan Museum of Art showcased incredible outfits. But catching our eyes was Kate Moss who dazzled in a metallic dress complete with cape and clutch bag.
Not the spaghetti strapped, metallic, dress of the 90s, but Moss’s Met Gala outfit got us thinking back to those days! So let’s remind ourselves of some of these looks, made famous by her…
Kate Who?
Kate Moss was born 16 January 1974 and grew up in Croydon, Surrey. She started modelling young after being ‘discovered’ while walking through JFK airport at the age of 14. The following year she had her first cover shoot.

Moss has appeared on the cover of more than 300 magazines and has also starred in advertising campaigns for many of the top fashion houses. She also became known for her partying lifestyle.

Besides being one of the world’s leading models, while working for big brand names including Christian Dior, H&M and Burberry Moss, has also become famous for her wild-side.

She was reportedly caught snorting cocaine with her then boyfriend Pete Doherty, lead singer of British band Babyshambles. Because of the scandal that followed, she lost many of her top modelling contracts.
While not charged with any offences, Moss gained new modelling contracts with companies, such as Calvin Klein and Burberry, which had dropped her at the time of the drug scandal. Also in 2006, Moss reached a deal with clothing retailer Topshop to design her own collection of clothing.
