Victoria Beckham has always identified herself with good style so we look back over her key looks.
Victoria Beckham is 45 on 17 April. The former pop queen now reigns as fashion house superstar, to take on a new kind of Girl Power. But regardless of career choice, she has always portrayed a love for fashion and style. Let’s take a walk down memory lane…
Posh Spice
Ah that famous name association. An all pouting, finger-pointing, ‘Girl Power’ shouting Victoria Beckham nee Adams burst onto the pop scene to make one fifth of the Spice Girls. Their debut single ‘Wannabe’ topping the UK charts in 1996 and launching their Girl Power personas. ‘Posh’ had her trademark sleek bob, polished nails and LBD.
WAG to riches
Or ‘wives and girlfriends’ was another nickname given to Victoria Beckham and other women who were either married or dating footballers. She and footballer David Beckham met at a charity football match in 1997 and shortly became an item. They became known for their joint style and nicknamed by the media as ‘Posh and Becks’.

The couple married in 1999, a few months after the birth of their first son Brooklyn. It was a lavish wedding, which took place in a castle. It featured doves, thrones, and matching purple outfits…

His and her
As well as David wearing a sarong, the couple would also get people talking with their joint appearances. There was the time where they decided to wear matching leather suits…

In 2000 Victoria models for Maria Grachvogel during London Fashion Week. In 2004 after designing her fashion item, jeans for US brand Rock & Republic, she was employing models for her own ‘VB Rocks’ collection to walk the runway.

Victoria and David have launched some 30 perfumes, starting with ‘Intimately’ in 2007 and featured an, well, intimate campaign of the couple.
Family life
As well as career ventures Victoria squeezed in the births of the couple’s three other children Romeo (2002), Cruz (2005) and Harper (2011 not pictured). There were also moves to Spain and LA before in 2014 the family settled back in the UK. Victoria then opened her first store on Dover Street in London.

Victoria was awarded an OBE as part of the New Years Honours 2017 list for services to the fashion industry. Having also successfully grown her own fashion empire since 2008, she’s now a regular addition to the worldwide Fashion Weeks, with AW19 recently launched in London. She also recently launched a YouTube channel to showcase what goes on behind the scenes.
