1950s Filigree Necklace with Abalone Shell

A beautiful 1950s filigree necklace with abalone shell detail. This pretty necklace features a silver-coloured filigree-style setting with a substantial piece of abalone shell in the centre and grey and clear glass rhinestones in the surround. It has a lovely feel and light weight to it, despite it’s appearance. Every link in the chain has a pattern on both sides, which only appears in good quality vintage necklaces. This necklace fastens with spring ring and loop.

This necklace dates to around the 1950s and is in very good condition; I note slight scratches on the abalone shell, and beautiful deliberate ‘antique’ patination all over as per the style (I have not polished this item).
